Math Speed Drill Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 19, 2026

Applies to: Math Speed Drill version 2.0 and later

Math Speed Drill is operated by Bad Weasel Games. This Privacy Policy explains how Math Speed Drill handles information for students, parents, teachers, schools, and purchasers.

Math Speed Drill version 2.0 and later is designed to help students practice math facts without sending student practice records to Bad Weasel Games. Through ordinary app use, Bad Weasel Games does not collect student names, classroom rosters, student IDs, scores, progress reports, grades, student work, or student contact information.

This Privacy Policy does not cover older Math Speed Drill versions before version 2.0. Schools, districts, teachers, parents, and users should update Math Speed Drill to the current App Store version before relying on this Privacy Policy for classroom or school use.

At A Glance

  • Student names are not required and are not stored locally in Math Speed Drill.
  • Practice profiles use only a short local profile label, such as a three-character identifier chosen by the user or teacher.
  • Scores, progress, settings, and reports are stored locally on the device.
  • Bad Weasel Games does not receive or host student practice records through ordinary app use.
  • Bad Weasel Games does not sell student information or use it for targeted advertising, behavioral advertising, cross-context tracking, or non-educational profiling.
  • Bad Weasel Games servers may store limited non-student purchaser, school contact, and license administration information.
  • Apple, Stripe, school device management systems, school backups, and similar third-party systems operate under their own privacy practices.

Information Stored Locally On The Device

Math Speed Drill may store the following information on the device where the app is used:

  • short player profile labels created in the app;
  • scores and practice progress;
  • app settings;
  • local reports or teacher/classroom management settings;
  • local purchase or entitlement status needed to unlock app features.

Profile labels are local identifiers only. They may be three-character labels such as S01, initials, or another short label chosen by the user or teacher. Math Speed Drill does not require student names, does not store student names locally, and does not know which student is associated with a profile label. Any separate teacher, parent, or school record that links a profile label to a particular student is outside Math Speed Drill and is not stored by Bad Weasel Games.

Local app information stays on the device unless a parent, teacher, school, user, device backup system, mobile device management system, Apple service, or other third party separately exports, backs up, shares, syncs, or discloses it.

Student Information We Do Not Collect

Through ordinary Math Speed Drill app use, Bad Weasel Games does not collect or receive:

  • student first or last name;
  • student email address, phone number, home address, or online contact information;
  • school district student ID, state student ID, or classroom roster;
  • student grades, assessment records, attendance records, discipline records, demographic records, disability information, health information, or special education information;
  • student scores, profile reports, or practice history from the app;
  • student photos, audio recordings, video recordings, messages, survey responses, or student-generated work;
  • precise geolocation;
  • advertising identifiers for student advertising or behavioral tracking.

If Bad Weasel Games ever changes Math Speed Drill version 2.0 or later so that student personal information is collected or transmitted through ordinary app use, this Privacy Policy will be updated and schools will be notified as required by applicable agreements and law.

Advertising, Tracking, And Sale

Math Speed Drill does not use student personal information for targeted advertising, behavioral advertising, cross-context tracking, non-educational profiling, or sale.

Bad Weasel Games does not sell, rent, or trade student information.

Math Speed Drill does not include third-party advertising for students.

Purchases, Licensing, And Adult/School Contact Information

Some purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple. Apple may collect and process App Store, purchase, device, account, diagnostic, and platform information under Apple's own privacy policy and terms. Bad Weasel Games does not control Apple's data practices.

For classroom, school, or website licensing, Bad Weasel Games may process limited non-student licensing information, such as:

  • purchaser or school contact email address;
  • Stripe customer, checkout, subscription, and payment status identifiers;
  • license plan, license status, activation code records, and renewal period;
  • a generated device install ID used to activate or refresh a classroom license on a device;
  • email delivery records for license activation messages.

This licensing information is used to process purchases, deliver activation links, manage subscriptions, prevent license misuse, provide support, maintain security, and keep business records. It is not used to collect student practice data.

Payment card details are processed by payment providers such as Apple or Stripe. Bad Weasel Games does not store full payment card numbers.

Service Providers

Bad Weasel Games may use service providers to operate its website, process payments, manage subscriptions, send license emails, host license systems, provide support, and maintain security. These service providers may include Apple, Stripe, email delivery providers, web hosting providers, database providers, and infrastructure providers.

When a service provider handles adult purchaser, school contact, support, or licensing information for Bad Weasel Games, that provider is expected to use the information only to provide the relevant service.

Schools, COPPA, FERPA, And Student Privacy

For school use, Bad Weasel Games does not use student information for any commercial purpose unrelated to providing Math Speed Drill. Because Bad Weasel Games does not receive student education records through ordinary app use, parents and eligible students should direct requests about school-maintained education records to the applicable school or district.

If a school or district believes it has provided student personal information to Bad Weasel Games outside ordinary app use, it may contact Bad Weasel Games using the contact information below.

Where a school authorizes Math Speed Drill for classroom use and any consent is required under children's privacy laws, the school may provide consent in the educational context as allowed by law. Bad Weasel Games remains responsible for its own privacy practices.

Local Data Access And Deletion

Because student practice data is stored locally on the device, local app data can generally be deleted by using app controls that remove player profiles or by deleting the app from the device.

Schools using managed devices, shared iPads, device backups, or mobile device management systems may need to manage deletion through their own device administration tools.

Bad Weasel Games cannot access, correct, export, or delete local app data that remains only on a user's device, in Apple systems, in school-managed backups, or in school-controlled records.

License Data Access And Deletion

Parents, teachers, schools, or purchasers may contact Bad Weasel Games to request access, correction, or deletion of licensing contact information that Bad Weasel Games controls.

Some purchase, tax, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, legal, or subscription records may need to be retained as required or permitted by law.

Requests can be sent to:

Security

Bad Weasel Games maintains a cybersecurity program aligned to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 and scaled to the limited information Bad Weasel Games controls.

Bad Weasel Games uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect purchaser, licensing, support, and website information. These safeguards may include account security, access limits, software updates, encrypted transport, backups where applicable, vendor review, incident response procedures, and periodic security review.

No app, website, server, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If Bad Weasel Games confirms an unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse of personal information that it controls, it will respond as required by applicable law and any applicable written agreement.

Data Breach Response

Bad Weasel Games maintains a written data breach response process. If Bad Weasel Games confirms a breach involving personal information or student data that Bad Weasel Games controls, Bad Weasel Games will take appropriate steps to investigate, contain, remediate, document, and provide notices required by applicable law or applicable written agreements.

Because Math Speed Drill does not transmit student practice records to Bad Weasel Games through ordinary app use, Bad Weasel Games generally would not have student practice records to disclose, export, or notify about. If a school or district has separately provided student personal information to Bad Weasel Games, Bad Weasel Games will handle that information according to applicable law and written agreements.

Data Retention

Student practice data stored locally on the device remains under the control of the device user, parent, teacher, school, Apple account, or school device administrator.

Bad Weasel Games retains purchaser and licensing information only as long as reasonably needed for purchase processing, subscription administration, license support, fraud prevention, security, business records, legal compliance, and dispute resolution.
